An oval medal in bronze gilt; the obverse depicting a Maltese cross within a wreath of laurel leaves; the reverse inscribed Mil. Ordo Equitum Melitensium, Bene Merenti, also with in a wreath of laurel leaves; on loop for suspension; with its period original wartime awarded ladies ribbon; measuring 36. 45 mm (w) x 48. 82 mm (h); weighing 26. 6 grams; in overall better than extremely fine condition.
